Hollywood Wrongly Blamed For Muslims' Bad Image

Story here. h/t: New Media Journal

Basically, there's some Muslims out there claiming that Hollywood is perpetuating "negative stereotypes" of Muslims, sometimes showing them as "bad guys".

Well, I'd say that Muslim bad guys themselves, who are merely following the requirements of the Koran, are doing the most excellent job of giving Islam and Muslims a bad image by going around spreading hatred and death throughout the world in the name of their precious "Allah".

Why don't the concerned Muslims, rather than worrying about a few Hollywood movies in which sometimes a bad guy happens to be, lo and behold, a Muslim jihadist.... why don't they go after all the clerics indoctrinating all these Muslims (who keep on getting born in great numbers at an accelerating rate) and make them stop?

Why not stop Muslims and Islam itself from being bad, then show that fact to the world? That would go far further than simple state censorship of the entertainment industry forbidding any portrayal whatsoever, ever, of any Muslims as "bad".

Besides, Hollywood already makes Christians, Jews, conservatives, Americans, Israelis, men and many others look bad... and we don't see the state apparatus cracking down on this "negative stereotyping". Probably because it'd be "unconstitutional" to restrict such a "human right" as "freedom of expression". But just watch them censor any movies portraying any Muslim characters at all as anything less than angelic! Oh, yeah, right... all Muslims are as harmless as a cute little kitten, puppy or baby bunny. Sure... Osama bin Laden is harmless, hates no one, never told anyone to kill anyone... Muqtada al-Sadr never killed, nor told anyone to kill anyone, out of Islamic supremacism, jihad and imperialism?

Perspective and understanding reality, not censorship, are needed.

Remember, when one looks at the statistics, when it comes to terrorism in the world, most of the time it is committed by Muslims in the name of Islam and Allah. Of this there can be no doubt. Hell, I think, in fact, that most beheadings are conducted by Muslims in the name of Islam and Allah. Who else uses beheading rather than simply shooting people? I mean, come on...

So what's the matter with having Hollywood reflecting reality, that, yes, in addition to all other kinds of folks in the world, there are some Muslims who are bad and who do really bad things? Why should Islam be granted a special privilege of exemption from being portrayed fairly? Is the truth not fair? Isn't it true to say that there are members from all groups in the world who do bad stuff?

Isn't it true that there are indeed millions of Muslims in the world who believe in Islamic supremacy, Koranic-required intolerance, violence, jihad and imperialism and often actually put these beliefs into action? Oh, yes; it is true. And there are Muslims out there who want to silence those who speak the truth, like those calling for the censorship of the entertainment industry.
