Terrorism or Not Terrorism?

This incident reminds me of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Remember that the terrorists had box cutters on the plane? We know what happened then.

But how on earth do authorities so quickly determine whether some foreigners with concealed knives are or aren't terrorists, just by sitting down and having a nice little chat with them?

Don't they know that terrorists are trained to lie?

"The knife was a large Chinese-style fighting knife. It opened on both ends and it had blades that opened on both ends," said Lieutenant Jim Corlino of the Atlanta Police Department.

Corlino was one of several cops, U.S. Marshals and security agents that surrounded the men. Corlino said they also found 20 small knives wrapped in tin foil in the same bag. Investigators said they searched Patel's bags three times and hidden inside the battery compartment of a toy car were several razor blades, weapons police said were similar to those used by the 9/11 hijackers.

The jet was brought back to the gate and police said they found a box cutter in the second man's bag, along with about $5,000 in cash.

Well, just FYI.

If they hadn't been caught....?

Then again, maybe they're international gangsters of some sort, and apparently armed and dangerous... which is also very bad. Can't have scumbags running around posing a threat to everyone.
