Inconvenient Truth About Climate Change Greedlusters

Ok, what's a "climate change greedluster"?

Well, Al Gore is one. Anyone who promotes increasing costs, prices and taxes without designing the so-called "emissions reducing" schemes to actually reduce carbon emissions, whilst profiting from the scam.

Lorrie Goldstein has an excellent piece about this. Basically the point is that whatever schemes, like the carbon tax, the cap-and-trade, the trading credits, whatever... they will not reduce emissions because they weren't designed to.

Best read it all for yourself, but here's some examples Goldstein gives us:

- When Europe created its Emissions Trading Scheme, the world's largest carbon trading market, it handed out free carbon permits to industry totalling more than current emissions. So much for "capping" them.

- Germany exempted its coal industry, despite the fact coal causes the most carbon emissions of the major fossil fuels when burned.

- In Canada, Liberal Leader Stephane Dion has exempted the retail price of gasoline from his proposed carbon tax (although it will have some impact on production and distribution costs) while Liberal house leader Ralph Goodale, a Saskatchewan MP, said last month about two-thirds of Saskatchewan's oil and gas industry will be exempt because the fossil fuels they produce aren't burned here but are exported to the U.S. (Where, of course, Kyoto's cap on emissions doesn't apply.)

Sounds shifty to me. Then again, l(L)iberals are shifty characters. So full of shift, always stowing shift, etc. They're climate change greedlusters.

Yet more reason to say the whole AGW/CC thing is one massive moneymaking scam. I assert that the IPCC is in on it, being a creature of the criminal-organization "United Nations".

Does anyone actually believe that carbon emissions are going to fall, as opposed to skyrocket?

Mark my words... global carbon emissions will skyrocket no matter what. The question as to whether this will turn the earth into an oven and cause catastrophic climate change, causing extinctions and so on... well, we'll see what the answer will be. Pity it won't come within our lifetime, which is why the scam is so bloody clever!
