It's About Money, Stupid!

You know something's fishy when people promote something that sounds good...

...when they stand to make a lot of money from that which they promote.

Gotta question whether they really know what they're talking about... when they're thinking about how much richer they can get.

Is it really about the environment for them? If they don't know what they're talking about when they promote this solution, that solution, this fix, that fix...

Is it really about energy independence? Can wind power really replace all that oil, coal, nuclear-generated electricity? And what about when natural gas runs out (like they say oil will)?

One sees no evidence that they've really thought it through. They haven't proven it; they just say, "rest assured...". And then they demand (or simply take, via taxes and rising prices) money.

Note that the billionaire oil guy, Mr. Pickens (love that name; reminds us that he wants to pick Californians' pockets!) wants to put California an additional ten billion dollars in debt to promote his agenda. Why doesn't he make the investment himself? If he's so convinced that it'll work, then why not use his own money, or borrow the difference if he doesn't have the entire ten billion dollars?

When rich people need the taxpayers to pay for something, then they know it's too risky to risk their own money on their scheme.

Nancy Pelosi also stands to profit...
