Liberal "Leader" Stephane Dion Going Nasty, Demonizing

Story here.

He opened his first campaign as Liberal leader yesterday by piling on a Prime Minister he warned must be electorally vanquished to salvage the economy, save the arts, prevent food contamination and fend off the death penalty.

It was a brutal, nasty, at times clever and surprisingly coherent condemnation from Mr. Dion, who had TelePrompTer help to overcome his struggles with English.

Entitled "Why We Need to Win" on internal copies, the speech was the Liberal character assassination of a Stephen Harper they describe as a secretive, manipulative, untrustworthy, intolerant, job-killing, climate-change-denying, all-around evil-doer, charges that will be repeated endlessly in this bitter war of words.

"We need to win against the most right-wing prime minister in the history of our country," Mr. Dion thundered. "Stephen Harper wants to give George W. Bush a third term in Ottawa."

Very well then, Mr. Dion. You have chosen the option of demonization.

Very well then.

Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you...

Stay tuned.
