Current Conservative Political Combat Strategy

I've been wondering where were the Conservative ads to tell Canadians the truth about Liberal leader-unelected Michael "Iggy" Ignatieff which they're not hearing enough about from the Big Media, including, ironically and shamefully, the node cited below as a source of information for this post.

According to the Globe and Mail...

Ah. So that's why no ads, even though they've got the cash for them.

"The government is focused on projecting itself as serious about the economy. ... Anything that could make the government seem focused on other things [like an attack ad campaign] is being avoided," the source said.

Didn't think of that, myself. Makes sense, as the enemy could very well spin the attack ads as "proof that the Tories aren't focussing on the economy after all" (kind of like haywire Newfie Prem Danny Williams, who's focussed on bashing the Tories instead of dealing with his own province's economic challenges).

On the other hand, we see some polls indicating that, as the People see more of Iggy's scary face, they think more like: "Well, there's another guy on the other side now. He's said to be smart and hardassed, unlike his goofy predecessor, Stephane Whatwashisname." This reaction to seeing the new Liberal leader as he's portrayed in the Big Media as a "leader" (which isn't really correct, as his leadership thus far has been far less than stellar, vis-a-vis his pathetic, wimpy, illogical flip-flop on first letting the Newfie Lib MPs vote as Unhinged Danny Williams demanded they vote on the initial Budget vote, then ordering them to vote the Party line on the Budget Implementation vote. Clearly, Iggy doesn't know what the hell he's supposed to do as a "leader"... doesn't know the first thing about leading. Probably only knows how to lead a submissive, sitting-down-all-shut-up class of indoctrinees, from his job as a professor, just like former leader (that one was at least elected to lead by Liberals) Stephane Dion, whose own leadership was a shipwreck, to say the least).

But, after all, broadcasting ads is only one possible way to make the Liberals look exactly as they are... to the People Who Vote, something that the Big Media isn't doing, but which has to be done somehow.

Hence...

Meanwhile, the Tories are very much in campaign mode. Thinking ahead to the next election, party strategists are considering activating the groups they formed last year to oppose the Liberal-NDP-Bloc coalition. The Canadians who became involved in the anti-coalition protests are not all Conservative supporters; they are simply opposed to a coalition government running the country. They registered their names, addresses and other useful information on Facebook group sites controlled by the Conservatives. This has given the Tories valuable new lists of potential supporters.

The idea is to use them as third-party organizations, which are allowed to spend up to $3,000 in individual ridings and $150,000 nationally. "They could be deployed in Liberal-Conservative or Conservative-NDP swing ridings as third-party groups to criticize candidates who supported the coalition," the Tory insider said.

Ah, yes... the "community organizing" strategy, something we've seen the Left master, as if they needed to, what with the fact that they already control the Big Media, which pretty much already controls the propaganda messaging to misinform and create utterly false perceptions on the part of the People Who Vote. Amass some of the People who oppose what the Liberals and other Leftist parties stand for, even if these People aren't necessarily Conservatives at all, and get them to loudly, publicly express their point of view on what the Liberals and the other Leftists stand for, as we saw them do when the Opposition was conspiring to overthrow the government and impose whatever hidden agenda they might've had. This mobilization of the People Who Care About Canada And Who Vote was a beautiful sight and represented a new beginning for Real Democracy and a new willingness on the part of the Silent Majority to stand up and holler, "Hey! We don't like that! Don't do that"

Even if the Big Media doesn't give these non-Leftist public group expressions of point of view, still, the blogosphere certainly will be there to cover it, further demonstrating the blatant bias and uselessness of the Big Media, leaving little or no wonder as to why the Big Media is collapsing all over the place like... dinosaurs!

So, regardless of ads/no ads at this time, and regardless of Iggy's slow climb in the polls to narrow the gap between himself/the Libs and Harper/the Tories, we can expect the Conservative strategists and organizers to be hard at work combating the Hard Left Liberals, NDP and separatist Bloc, going over the heads of the corrupt, Hard-Left-controlled Big Media.
