"Unsustainable"? Well, tell it to us Canadians, who already have the sort of system I suspect you've in mind for America, ie. one in which there'll be eventual outlawing of private-sector healthcare delivery. Let me tell you, ours has proven unsustainable. The Medicare budget enjoys billions and billions of increases all the time, yet things only get worse and worse. Things are so awful now that the Old Media and the politicians are too terrified to talk about it anymore, so they don't!

As Obama believes that he and bureaucrats, who know nothing about the automotive industry, taking over GM will somehow be a good thing rather than a bad thing, he obviously believes that having the state run the healthcare system would "save it".
Well, the state has been running the medical system in Canada for decades, and, well, it's in a crisis situation and getting worse all the time, no matter how much new money is added to its already monstrous budget.
I'm afraid that if Obama gets his (or is it the folks behind the curtain?) way, Americans are going to be facing something very un-American pretty soon, and it's going to be depressing.
It's not really working in Canada. Purely socialized, bureaucrat-run medicine hasn't proven to be sustainable. It's a nightmare. Canada desperately needs to legalize the private-sector option to help alleviate the waiting lines and times for all kinds of things. But insane, hard-left-wing politics and the Old Media are keeping Canadians in the dark about this, so how the hell are we going to get decent healthcare in the future if hardly anyone realizes that there's a crisis at hand, therefore not knowing that they should take action to pressure those responsible for effecting change? It's disheartening! But such is the nature of having the Ideologically Radical Left control the Old Media, whose subtle-and-blatant propaganda-spewing voice is still the most powerful one around.
This is what Obama (or at least his puppetmasters) want to impose on Americans, in the name of spreading the misery equitably according to the hateful, evil, crazy doctrine of socialism.
When the state runs things involving supply and demand, they tend to fail miserably. That's just the nature of the state. Is there, therefore, any wonder that I deem those stubbornly ideologically radical left-wing statists to be afflicted by some kind of mental disorder?
