Kennedy's Fearmongering

Patrick Kennedy, pointing, mugging with lunatic conspiracy theorist Slick Willy.
Loony birds of a feather...

Patrick Kennedy.

Drawing on his family’s violent past, the Democratic congressman told roughly 75 people gathered at a private health-care forum Saturday morning that opponents of Democrat-backed health-care legislation had gone too far. He cited, as an example, 10,000 signs distributed at a recent Washington protest that read, “Bury ObamaCare with Kennedy.”

Well, you know, neo-communists (ie. folks on Mr. Kennedy's side) use such catchy slogans and even worse. We've heard it all, such as "Ignite the right" and so on and so forth.

“My family’s seen it up close too much with assassinations and violence in political life. It’s a terrible thing when people think that in order to get their point across they have to go to the edge of violent rhetoric and attack people personally,” Kennedy told the nurses, union officials and AARP members finishing their breakfasts at the invitation-only event in the Providence Marriott hotel. “It’s fine for people to debate the issue and attack the issue, but when they go and stoop to the level of the vitriolic rhetoric that we’ve seen this debate turn up, it’s very, I think, dangerous to the fabric of our country.”

Talk about pandering/appealing to peoples' emotions, eh! How about that, evoking the assassinations of JF and RF... in front of folks who can remember back then, to affect them emotionally. It's another of those communications tactics employed by the neo-communists. It's all in the language. Using language for emotional/psychological impact is a powerful weapon. It also comes in handy for turning the other folks' "rhetoric" into something it really isn't. You can tell Mr. Kennedy's doing it here, trying to mess with seniors' heads.

“I will note that there were a number of prominent security people in this country who spoke very openly this past week that … that there are consequences in terms of trying to protect public officials. There are consequences to violent rhetoric,” he said. “Some people can see through TV ratings and right-wing talk show hosts that just try to create some theater, but unfortunately, there are some that can’t see through it. And that’s the danger in it. There is definitely freedom of speech, but freedom of speech does not allow yelling ‘fire’ in the middle of a crowded movie theater.”

You can see what he's doing here. Trying to demonize the anti-Obamacare side by fear-instillingly suggesting that one selected phrase would lead to horrible stuff happening. Yeah, right... can't say anything tongue-in-cheek, mildly nasty about anything or anyone, ever, just because the neo-communists, paranoid and ever-fearful as they are, believe that it might lead to crazy folks taking it literally and carrying it out. Well, then, if this is so important to Mr. Kennedy, why doesn't he campaign to ban all violent language and acts from all movies and TV shows just because it might make crazy folks carry out the acts? Ah, of course he won't do that, as he'd call it "censorship" and "un-American", but when there's political picket signs saying, "Bury Obamacare with Kennedy", suddenly we must ban the inconvenient speech! Like, gimme a break, Pat!

From there, folks like Kennedy will go even further, trying to tar and feather their political opponents en masse, the whole lot of them, just as the Napolitano DHS and the Southern Poverty Law Center attempted to smear/paint all opponents of the Obamacrat Regime, with their bullshitty, casual-internet-surfing-founded, "advisories" to the police forces of America to "look out for" such folks as those who merely disagree with anything Obama says, who oppose Abortion, who believe in the Constitution and Bill of Rights, who believe that communism is bad, who believe in low taxes, who believe in state's rights, who believe that America has enemies who are communists, Islamists, etc., who believe in the First and Second Amendments, etc, etc... My, my, my... but the hypocritical Obamacrat neo-commies are soooo McCarthyist, aren't they? They want to wichhunt any and all "right-wingers", blacklist 'em, intimidate 'em, etc, etc.

I'm particularly amused how Mr. Kennedy gently attacks "TV ratings" (obviously alluding to the inconvenient-to-leftists fact that FOX News, which is decidedly NOT part of the neo-communist apparatus and which marches to, apparently, the only fair-and-balanced drummer, such drummer consistently being avoided by the other networks) and "right-wing talk show hosts trying to create theater". (Hey, look who's talking; look at the left-wing politician who's trying to "create theater"!) Heh. Nice try, Patty, but, you know, the People are sick and tired of having wealthy, silver-spooned elitists in fancy suits, like yourself, trying to tell them what's what when what's what actually ain't what y'all are saying. The People are going to see through it, though, of course, some will fall victim to your manipulative rhetoric and end up voting for your guys and being part of the cause of the worsening and increasing-in-number problems facing America.

Kennedy referenced an article published Friday on the news Web site Politico that cited interviews with former Secret Service, FBI and CIA officials also concerned that the intensity of today’s debate could produce violence. The article notes that this summer’s health-care protests included an episode where freshman Rep. Frank Kratovil Jr., D-Md., was hanged in effigy. Anti-energy bill protesters tarred and feathered an effigy of Rep. Allen Boyd, D-Fla.

“It’s very, very dangerous,” Kennedy said in the interview. “We put a lot of people in jail around the world for threatening our country’s security. But this atmosphere of attack that doesn’t attack the issue, but attacks the people, is very disruptive to the institution of democracy, which relies on a respect for the opposition.”

Hey, Pat, your guys did it to Bush all the damn time! Sheesh... fe'fecksake! What'd you say then? And how come your guys aren't burning Obama in effigy for his wars killing all those people in the Middle East? I guess it's ok when you guys do it!
Besides, your guys have been using violence in the Obamacare debate, not the tea party folks. The SEIU goons, as I'm sure you've heard, are going around being violent, and may be motivated by hate, too.

Ah, well, the rest of the speech (blah, blah, yadda, yadda, etc.) delivered by Mr. Kennedy is just more of the same verbal sophistry. He's been trained well in the fine art of bullshit, and he's obviously been given the best talking points, the best rhetoric, by the best neo-communist "intellectuals" and spin doctors.

And he got to be the only one doing the talking, aside from audience comments. And the fact that the invitees were pretty much all pro-Obamacare leftists means that he was merely preaching to the cult, asking them to drink his koolaid...
